Sagarika Ray

Sagarika is a Consultant Neonatologist at The Shrewsbury and Telford Hospital NHS Trust. She is a Fellow of the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health and a member of the British Association of Perinatal Medicine.

Sagarika has a wide experience of being involved in patient safety and reviewing care, both locally as well as nationally, through past experiences as a Neonatal Subject Matter Advisor for Healthcare Safety Investigation Board and a case review panel member for two Perinatal Confidential Enquiries conducted by MBRRACE (Mothers and Babies: reducing risk through audits and confidential enquiries across the UK).

Her background of a MSc in Evidence Based Medicine has proved invaluable in her involvement with the national RCPCH guideline on UK screening of retinopathy of prematurity and as a neonatal editor of the Neonatal Guidelines published by the Bedside Clinical Guidelines Partnership in association with the West Midlands Perinatal Network.

Sagarika has authored articles relating to neonatology that have been published in peer reviewed journals. She is a reviewer for BMJ Case Reports Journal and an Editorial Advisory Board member of Infant journal. She is passionate about collaborative working amongst multidisciplinary teams and the sharing of information through high quality resources.
