Farrah Pradhan

Head of Maternity Safety, Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists

Farrah is an accomplished patient safety expert with experience in maternity safety, service user advocacy, and healthcare governance. She currently serves as the Head of Maternity Safety at the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (RCOG), where she leads initiatives to enhance safety and quality across the organisation. 

With a background in patient safety and service user advocacy, Farrah has worked closely with bereaved and emotionally distressed families, ensuring that their voices are heard, and their experiences inform meaningful change. She also contributes nationally as a Patient Safety Partner with NHS England as a member of the Independent Investigations Committee. In addition, she serves as a Trustee for Action against Medical Accidents (AvMA), a leading charity supporting patient safety and justice.

Farrah has contributed to research journal articles, NICE guidance lay summaries, and patient information materials. She is committed to ensuring that patient voice and lived experience are integral to shaping safer, more equitable healthcare services.
